Eager reader of history, mystery, classics, biographies, steampunk, lit fic, science, scifi, and etc. My reviews are mostly positive--I rarely finish or write about books I don't enjoy. My TBR is too high for that.

There's a moral imperative to finish every book we start?

On The Atlantic website NY Times editor Juliet Lapidos makes the case that we should finish every novel we start, even if it's boring us or worse. To her it's a matter of fortitude, respect, and somehow even pleasure. 


It's not an admonition I can take seriously . . .
