Eager reader of history, mystery, classics, biographies, steampunk, lit fic, science, scifi, and etc. My reviews are mostly positive--I rarely finish or write about books I don't enjoy. My TBR is too high for that.
Recommended by my sister Rose, this bright amalgam of a book is more than the sum of its parts, which include being a Victorian romance, an alternate history, a paranormal scifi fantasy, a murder mystery and a PG Wodehouse-like comedy. My only complaint is that for me the scenes with sexual activity, though achieving the right balance of directness and subtlety, were so long as to actually get a little boring.
