Eager reader of history, mystery, classics, biographies, steampunk, lit fic, science, scifi, and etc. My reviews are mostly positive--I rarely finish or write about books I don't enjoy. My TBR is too high for that.

Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Robert Louis Stevenson

Under the Wide and Starry Sky - Nancy Horan

The title of this book comes from a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, written as a young man, and read when he was buried on Mount Vaea in Samoa:

Under the wide and starry sky
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you grave for me;
"Here he lies where he longed to be,
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
And the hunter home from the hill."
