Reflections

Eager reader of history, mystery, classics, biographies, steampunk, lit fic, science, scifi, and etc. My reviews are mostly positive--I rarely finish or write about books I don't enjoy. My TBR is too high for that.

Romantic-Era Bibliocrafting? Dorothy Wordsworth's "Cottonian Bindings", c 1820

From Two Nerdy History Girls, a blog post about a book related craft and "genteel pastime" for ladies I had never heard of: Cottonian Binding, or recovering dilapidated books with printed cloth. Wordsworth's sister Dorothy used to do this and English poet Robert Southey had maybe 1400 books in his library bound in this manner.
